PT Kadya Caraka Mulia (KCM) was established on January 18, 1988. On May 31, 1999, KCM signed a third-generation coal contract with the Indonesian government (PKP2B). After completing the construction of its mining facilities and infrastructure, the company started coal production in late 2006.

Its mining area is located in Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan, encompassing 4,628 hectares of land and consisting of two mining blocks: North Block and South Block.

KCM produces 5,800 kcal/kg GAR coals. They are hauled from mine pits to the port at Sungai Puting village using dump trucks. Sungai Puting Port is operated by KCM’s sister company PT Kalimantan Prima Persada (KPP).
