Enhancing Commitment to ESG Aspects, Turangga Resources Inaugurates Environmental Laboratory of PT Telen Orbit Prima

Turangga Resources has inaugurated a new facility, namely the Environmental Laboratory - PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP), located in Buhut Jaya Village, Central Kapuas District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan on March 7, 2024. The event was attended by the President Director of PT Tuah Turangga Agung, Mr. Hendra Hutahean, the President Director of TOP, Mr. Arianto Sasono, as well as other management at Turangga Resources.

The inauguration of this environmental laboratory is the result of expanding the scope of the TOP laboratory (Registration Number LP-1360-IDN), which previously only accommodated coal commodity quality testing and has been accredited with ISO 17025:2017. This environmental laboratory functions to control the quality of liquid waste commodities starting from sampling, testing, and analyzing various parameters of physical, chemical, and microbiological quality elements. The environmental testing aims to ensure that waste from companies can be managed properly and not pollute the environment. The TOP Environmental Laboratory has undergone field testing processes from the National Accreditation Committee (KAN) and the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK). Currently, the TOP environmental laboratory is in the waiting stage for the issuance of  accreditation certificate and registration process at the KLHK.

With this expansion of scope, the TOP laboratory is expected to better support the availability of comprehensive facilities, both for controlling coal quality and for environmental monitoring for all mining company entities in the Central Kalimantan region. This step is a concrete action by Turangga Resources in preserving the environment and evidence of the company's commitment to implementing ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) practices that provide sustainable impacts for surrounding communities and the environment.
