FMIPA UPR and Asmin Bara Bronang Collaboration: Sustainable Natural Resource Exploration Takes Center Stage at SNST 2025

Palangka Raya (9/10/2025) – The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) at Palangka Raya University (UPR) collaborated with PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) in organizing the 2025 National Seminar on Science and Technology (SNST).

The seminar, themed "Exploring Sustainable and Impactful Natural Resource Potential Through Science and Technology for Golden Indonesia 2045," was held in a hybrid format at the UPR PPIIG Building.

The event was attended by approximately 90 presenters and participants from various universities in Central Kalimantan and beyond. Participants consisted of academics, young researchers, students, and industry practitioners with a keen interest in research and sustainable development issues.

In his opening remarks, the representative of the Central Kalimantan Governor, Yuas Elko, S.Sos., M.Si., emphasized the importance of collaboration among government, academia, and the private sector in managing natural resources that are both productive and environmentally conscious.

"Central Kalimantan has tremendous potential in the energy, mineral, and biodiversity sectors. Through science and technology, this potential can be managed wisely for the welfare of society without neglecting environmental preservation," he stated.

The seminar featured several distinguished speakers, including: Dr. Berry Juliandi, S.Si., M.Si (Dean of FMIPA IPB), Ir. Rendy Muhammad Iqbal, Ph.D (Chemistry Lecturer at UPR), and Mohammad Adhi Ariyanto (Representative of ABB).

In his presentation, the ABB representative highlighted SNST as an important platform bridging the academic world with industry.

"Academic research innovations greatly assist us in creating more efficient, safe, and sustainable mining practices, while simultaneously enhancing the competitiveness of the regional energy sector," said Mohammad Adhi Ariyanto.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the SNST 2025 Organizing Committee, Wahyu Anggar Wanto, S.Si., M.Si., expressed his appreciation for the participants' enthusiasm and the support from various parties.

"SNST 2025 is not merely a scientific forum, but also a platform for cross-disciplinary idea exchange that strengthens UPR's commitment to sustainable development in Central Kalimantan," he stated.

In addition to the main presentation sessions, the seminar also featured panel discussions and research presentations.
