More Than Just Ceremony, Turangga Resources Shows Care Through Social Action

Teluk Timbau, May 7th, 2025 — As a form of care for communities affected by flooding around their operational area, Turangga Resources demonstrated their concern through concrete action by distributing basic food package assistance to the community in Teluk Timbau Village, in the area surrounding the mining site.

This assistance was distributed directly by the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team and received by village officials and representatives from the neighborhood units of Teluk Timbau Village. More than just a ceremony, this activity took place warmly and with full openness, featuring brief dialogue between residents and the company team that also explored the community's aspirations and future needs.

The distributed food packages contained basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, and other household needs. The residents who received assistance were mostly underprivileged families, elderly people, and residents with irregular income.

The Village Head of Teluk Timbau expressed appreciation for the attention given by the company to the community. He also emphasized the importance of continuity for programs like this. On the other hand, this activity also reflects a more humanistic CSR approach that goes beyond merely fulfilling formal obligations but truly addresses the real needs of residents. 

Through this simple yet meaningful action, Turangga Resources once again demonstrates that the presence of company in an area is not only about business and operations, but also about care and real contribution to the surrounding community.
