Opening Ceremony of the School and Dormitory Introduction Period (MPLSDKA) at SMK Maharati

Buhut Jaya, July 15, 2024 – The opening ceremony of the School and Dormitory Introduction Period (MPLSDKA) at SMK Maharati, along with the handover of new students from their parents to the school, was held on Monday, July 15, 2024. This annual event is specifically organized for new students who have passed the entrance selection for SMK Maharati, which includes document review, written tests in numeracy and literacy, personality tests, and interviews. During the opening ceremony, all parents of the new students participated in the event. The ceremony was officially opened by Mr. Yulius Nico Wahyu Mahendra, Chairman I of Yayasan Bina Harati Pama.

SMK Maharati is located in Desa Buhut Jaya, Kapuas Tengah District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. Since its inception in 2021, SMK Maharati has provided quality education to the community around the Turangga Resources mining operations. Despite being in a mining area, SMK Maharati offers education with complete and modern facilities, including computer laboratories, a library, comfortable classrooms, and various other supporting facilities.

This year, SMK Maharati has admitted 108 new students, consisting of 36 students in the Visual Communication Design (DKV) program and 72 students in the Culinary Arts (TAB) program. This event marks the beginning of the MPLSDKA period, which will run from July 15 to July 27, 2024.

The event was held at SMK Maharati, located at Desa Buhut Jaya RT 05, Kapuas Tengah District, Kapuas Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. The MPLSDKA opening ceremony was conducted smoothly and was marked by an emotional atmosphere among the attending parents. During the farewell session, students had the opportunity to say goodbye to their parents. Following the opening ceremony, all students were directed to proceed with the MPLSDKA activities at SMK Maharati.
