Preventing Stunting in 3 Villages: Turangga Resources Launches the “GUNTING” Program

Mantangai, April 2025 – Turangga Resources, in collaboration with the Mantangai Health Center (UPT Puskesmas Mantangai), launched the “GUNTING” Program (Movement to Prevent Stunting) to address stunting issues in Katunjung, Sei Ahas, and Katimpun villages, located in Turangga Resources’ Watershed Rehabilitation (DAS) area.

The program began on April 8, 2025, in Katunjung Village and continued in Sei Ahas and Katimpun Villages on April 22, 2025. Through this collaboration, pregnant women and toddlers were identified as beneficiaries based on surveys and health reports from the Mantangai Health Center. The distribution of supplementary food (PMT), including rice, eggs, milk, and other nutritious items, is conducted monthly, following the local health post (posyandu) schedule.

The “GUNTING” Program underscores Turangga Resources' commitment to supporting local community health as part of its sustainability mission and corporate social responsibility initiatives. The Mantangai Health Center and village authorities expressed their appreciation for this initiative, highlighting how the program provides much-needed nutrition that was previously difficult to access for pregnant women and toddlers in the three villages.

This collaboration is expected to significantly reduce stunting rates in Mantangai District. Furthermore, the program aims to serve as an effective model for partnerships between private sectors, public institutions, and communities to address health challenges in other regions.
