PT Asmin Bara Bronang Hosts Maggot Farming and Liquid Organic Fertilizer Processing Training

Barunang, Central Kalimantan – PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB), in collaboration with Koperasi Taraku Mandiri, organized a training session on maggot farming and processing chicken manure into liquid organic fertilizer on October 16, 2024, in Tumbang Mamput Village, Barunang, Central Kalimantan. The training was attended by poultry farmers and farmers under the guidance of Koperasi Taraku Mandiri, with expert speakers from Waste and Wishes Indonesia, who specialize in organic waste management.

The main goal of the training was to maximize the use of waste generated by the cooperative, enabling its reuse in the existing agricultural and livestock systems.

The choice of topics for maggot farming and chicken manure processing was based on the fact that many of Koperasi Taraku Mandiri's partners are poultry farmers and farmers. Both groups can benefit from turning organic waste into maggots and liquid organic fertilizer, which not only provides economic value but also has a positive impact on the environment.

It is hoped that this training will equip participants with new skills that will not only be economically beneficial but also support environmental sustainability in the surrounding community.
