Supporting Sustainable Environment in Desa Pendreh, SMM Conducts Kampung Iklim Program Socialization

Barito Utara, March 2, 2025 – PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral continues to demonstrate its commitment to environmental sustainability through the Kampung Iklim (Proklim) Program in Desa Pendreh, Barito Utara Regency. In collaboration with the Environmental Agency (DLH) of Barito Utara Regency, the company organized a Proklim socialization event to enhance public understanding of climate change adaptation and mitigation.

The event was attended by members of the Proklim Group from Desa Pendreh, DLH representatives, and the PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral team, who presented materials on sustainable environmental management, waste management, water conservation, reforestation, and renewable energy. An interactive discussion session explored solutions that could be implemented to improve the village's environmental resilience.

The community response was very positive, with high enthusiasm for active participation. As a follow-up, PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral, in collaboration with DLH Barito Utara, plans to conduct technical training, reforestation programs, and provide environmentally-friendly facilities. This program is expected to make Desa Pendreh a model for Proklim implementation, creating a greener and more sustainable future.
