Synergy of PT. Telen Orbit Prima (TOP) and PT. Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) Distribute Basic Necessity Aid for Flood-Affected Communities in Buhut

The flood disaster that struck Buhut Jaya Village on January 2, 2024, has caused significant losses to the community. The water inundating residents' homes has halted various activities. In an effort to support flood victims in Buhut Jaya Village, PT. Telen Orbit Prima (TOP) together with PT. Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB) forged synergy with the Village Government to conduct humanitarian aid operations to ensure the basic needs of flood victims are met. PT. TOP and PT. ABB partnered with Bulog Kanwil Palangkaraya to provide packages of basic necessities to be distributed to the community.

Approximately 264 packages of basic necessities containing items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, milk, and canned sardines have been distributed to flood-affected communities. The packages were dispatched by Bulog Palangkaraya on January 8, 2024, and arrived in Buhut Jaya Village on January 9, 2024. The distribution of aid was carried out by the Village Government along with representatives from PT. TOP and PT. ABB. The packages were targeted towards households affected by the flood from RT 1-5. The distribution process began at 14:30 WIB and concluded at 17:00 WIB. Throughout the process, the distribution activities proceeded smoothly and peacefully. Affected residents were asked to come to the Village Office and sign an attendance list, ensuring the names of recipients were recorded. It is noted that the majority of aid recipients came from RT 4 & RT 5, totaling 207 packages.

In addition to distributing basic necessities, PT. TOP and PT. ABB also provided ready-to-eat meals and evacuation assistance when the flood struck Buhut Village. At that time, swift action was taken through collaboration with relevant stakeholders. Agitsna Arafat, the CSR Section Head of PT. TOP, stated, "The distribution of basic necessities greatly assists flood victims who are struggling to resume their activities. This is a tangible demonstration of the spirit of togetherness and solidarity among companies, village governments, and communities in facing disasters."
