Jakarta, September 10, 2024 – Turangga Resources also known as PT Tuah Turangga Agung, the parent company of PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB), PT Suprabari Mapanindo Mineral (SMM), and PT Telen Orbit Prima (TOP), has been honored with the Adi Niti Award from the Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK) for its commitment to conserving peatland ecosystems. The award was given in the category of “Partner in Managing KHDTK (Special Purpose Forest Area)”.
Adi Niti is an award given to businesses, community groups, and partners of the Environmental and Forestry Standardization Agency (BSILHK) for their performance in environmental and forestry sectors.
The prestigious award was presented directly by the Minister of Environment and Forestry during the 2024 Environmental and Forestry Standard Week (PeSTA), which was attended by various government agencies, business stakeholders, and environmental organizations. The event highlighted the importance of implementing strong environmental standards to address future climate change challenges.
Previously, Turangga Resources established the Peat Information and Technology Center at Camppeat KHDTK Tumbang Nusa in Central Kalimantan, inaugurated by Minister KLHK Siti Nurbaya Bakar on April 20, 2024. This Information Center is an integrated facility providing scientific information, laboratories, and scientific tourism, addressing the lack of peatland references in Indonesia.
With this award, Turangga Resources reaffirms its commitment to contributing to environmental conservation and sustainable natural resource management. This achievement represents a significant step forward in the collective effort to protect peatland ecosystems and support a greener, more sustainable future for Indonesia.
