Jakarta – Turangga Resources reaffirmed its commitment to community development by securing three prestigious awards at the Tambang Menyejahterakan Rakyat (Tamasya) Award 2024. The awards ceremony was held on November 26, 2024, at Kartika Expo Center, Jakarta, as part of the closing event for Minerba Expo 2024.
The Tamasya Award, now in its second year, is an initiative by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Ditjen Minerba). The event celebrates mining companies that have effectively implemented Community Development Programs (PPM) with measurable impacts in education, social initiatives, cultural preservation, environmental sustainability, and economic empowerment.
Turangga Resources received the awards through its subsidiaries:
Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Yuliot, highlighted that community development initiatives in the mineral and coal subsector reached IDR 2.53 trillion in 2023, with IDR 851.75 billion achieved in the first half of 2024. These figures underscore the mining sector's significant contribution to improving the welfare of communities near mining areas.
These awards solidify Turangga Resources' position as a responsible and sustainable mining operator committed to social and environmental development.
