Asmin Bara Bronang Inaugurates Coal Processing Plant & Washing Plant 2 with 3 Million Tons Per Year Capacity

Central Kalimantan, October 28, 2025 – Coinciding with the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day, PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB), a subsidiary of Turangga Resources, officially inaugurated its Coal Processing Plant (CPP) and Washing Plant 2. The inauguration was marked by the "First Hauling Operation: Afterwash" ceremony, led directly by Hendra Hutahean, President Director of PT Tuah Turangga Agung, accompanied by Efredi Yudianto, President Director of PT Asmin Bara Bronang, along with the management team.

The development of CPP and Washing Plant 2 represents a strategic initiative by ABB to support Turangga Resources' Total Ton Annually target of 15 million tons of coal sales, which was announced on December 1, 2022. With ABB's contribution reaching 55-60% of the total target, this new facility will significantly increase production capacity.

In his remarks, Efredi Yudianto emphasized that the operation of CPP and Washing Plant 2 today embodies ABB's genuine commitment to continuous innovation and support for TTA's long-term strategy.

Furthermore, Efredi Yudianto stated that the CPP and Washing Plant 2 facility symbolizes ABB's dedication to enhancing production capacity, product quality, and operational efficiency for Turangga Resources toward achieving the 15 million tons sales target in 2026.

Facility Specifications

The Washing Plant 2, integrated with the Coal Processing Plant, has a capacity of 425 tons per hour, equivalent to 3 million tons per year. The facility is equipped with Dense Medium Separator (DMS) technology, which separates coal from impurities based on density differences, producing high-quality coal. Supporting infrastructure in the form of a new hauling road has also been constructed to connect the mine, CPP & WP 2, to the port.

The construction of this facility involved collaboration with various vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams. During the inauguration ceremony, ABB management expressed appreciation to all parties who contributed to the completion of this strategic project.

The increased volume of dirty coal from newly opened sectors can now be optimally processed with the addition of Washing Plant 2.
